Cutting Ceramic Tile -- Smoothing
Cutting ceramic tile edges often results in small irregularities. After a tile is snapped or nipped, you may remove rough or bumpy edges with special abrasive stone or just with a small piece of concrete. A whetstone also works to produce smooth edges.
Often ragged edges end up covered by trim. Also mortar may disguise many cut edges as well. In that case smooth edges may not be necessary anyway.
