Another savings route is to buy the majority of the tile locally at the regular price. These will be what are called field tiles. These are the tiles that cover most of the area of your project. Then look for real deals, maybe online, for the border tiles or for accent tiles.

These tiles are often more like art tile and can cost quite a lot just for a few tiles. Savings on these tiles can really add up and since shipping costs are much less just for a few pieces of tile, you don't eat up your savings with shipping discount ceramic tile.
